Training Provider: Adaptive Learning with a Local AI Tutor

A training provider with 60 employees develops and delivers qualification programmes for mid-sized corporate clients — compliance training, leadership development, technical upskilling. Programmes are delivered as blended learning: in-person sessions combined with online learning units.
The problem: online learning units were static. All participants received the same content in the same sequence — regardless of prior knowledge, learning pace, or individual focus areas.
Data Protection in Education Is Non-Negotiable
Participant data — who learned what, when, for how long, and where knowledge gaps lie — is highly sensitive. Corporate clients would never have accepted external AI services accessing this data. The provider needed a solution that remained fully under their control.
Adaptive AI Tutor with SoverIQ
SoverIQ Stack runs on the training provider’s own server. A separate isolated instance is set up per corporate client. The AI tutor:
- Guides participants through learning material with explanations, examples, and comprehension questions
- Detects knowledge gaps from response patterns and proactively offers supplementary exercises
- Answers content questions outside learning hours: “What exactly is the difference between GDPR Art. 6 and Art. 9?”
- Gives learners and HR managers progress reports without sharing raw conversation data
Results
Average learning time to competency assessment dropped by 28%. Completion rates for online modules rose from 54% to 87%. The provider can now market adaptive learning as a premium option — at a price premium that paid back the SoverIQ investment within 5 months.
