Healthcare: Documentation Without Cloud Risk

Doctors spend an average of 35% of their working time on documentation. In a hospital group with 12 sites and 1,200 physicians, that adds up to a massive efficiency and morale problem.
The Challenge
Patient data is subject to the highest data protection requirements. Cloud services — even pseudonymised — were not an option for the hospital group. At the same time, it was clear: language models are technically mature enough for medical transcription.
Local Speech AI with SoverIQ Stack
SoverIQ Stack was installed on the hospital group’s own servers. A specialised model — fine-tuned on medical vocabulary — transcribes spoken dictations into structured documentation:
- Automatic recognition of ICD-10 codes from free text
- Structured output into the existing HIS system
- Complete processing within the clinical intranet
No patient data leaves the clinic network.
Result
Documentation time per physician dropped by an average of 55 minutes per day. Error rates in ICD coding fell significantly. And the medical staff, for the first time in years, has an IT system they actually enjoy using.
